Edited by: Eventy One on 03/06/2009 16:15:15 Anyone know the Pavlov reflex?
Ring a bell, feed the dog, repeat. Eventually the dog will salivate when the bell is rung.
For the last number of patches, the CCP news generating team has done marvellous work generating news items that compliment or explain, in game changes. Especially during patch down time, the sequence of news items makes waiting for the patch release to complete all the more exciting.
However, in the last few days the following news items have appeared:
Ok, I'm salivating.
Is there a patch coming that I missed or is CCP just confirming Pavlov's reflex? If no patch is coming, can someone from CCP please check the Quafe in the news generating department to confirm its normal?

But fear not! I'm drooling too
Yes true, but the signal to noise ratio is highest during patch time. The signal to noise ratio is high now, which is why I question - is it patch time already?

This is a great rumour!
My bet is just as the Minmatar are feeling the loving, so are the Amarr. I bet the merry ole King is re-bonding with his Amarr brethren.

King Khanid soon to be assassinated?
This is what I thought was going to happen, but it appears that I'm wrong. And I'm glad for that of course, but as a Khanid I must say I have strong feelings regarding the maintenance of the Khanid Kingdom's independence.
Why do people think he was going to be assassinated? Would it work something like .. invite the guy to Amarr space and bump him off ..when relations have been at an all time high?

I think it's plot habit. Whenever some high representative is traveling around on foreign business, they tend to get assassinated, lol. Too often used in movies and games and stuff.
Ah .. kind of like in Star Trek the red guy always died ... except when the captain was a former Shakespearean actor?

Yes I agree - new Khanid faction ships would be great .. in terms of the storyline - closer relations between Amarr and Khanid would be cool, a marriage between royal houses (or whatever) would be cool too though because it would merge power blocks ..

I don't think so but the rumour thats in the RP channel is that he may marry Lady Tash-Murkon (I didn't start the rumour - I'm just spreading it)

Well given the borders of the two territories that would be an intresting merger. It would also create a rather large power block within the Empire. I have been reading a History on the war of the Roses and cant help but consider what the consequences of what such a merger might be. Perhaps though, Empress Jamyl feels very secure in her power.
They've been putting news out consistently for days ..so I guess we'll find out before the end of the week.
